Ibn Khaldun : The Historian


The purpose of the series ‘Muslim Scientists’ is to introduce to children about the phenomenal figures in Islamic Golden Age. The scholars who were very much equipped with various knowledge of different fields can be excellent examples for the children to follow. This book tells about Ibn Khaldun who was a scholar and also a politician. Mathematics, logic and philosophy were the subjects that his father taught him since young. He also memorized the whole of Qur’an like most past scholars. As he grew, his passion for history also grew and he wrote the famous ‘Muqaddimah’ which tells about the universal history that is used in various institutions as reference.
